We offer three different Sunday School classes at Central. Please come join us at one. Visitors are always welcome!

Bob Smith Sunday School Class

The Bob Smith Sunday School class is a group of seniors who appreciate Bible study and fellowship.   The International Bible quarterly is used as a guide.

Visitors and church members (of any age) are welcome and encouraged to join the group Sunday mornings, at 10:00am, for informal bible study.

Pacesetters

The Pacesetters Sunday School Class began as the “Young Adult” class in 1973.  The class adopted the name “Pacesetters” ten years later as a challenge to our forward Christian momentum.

Prayer Garden spring 2014n

It has grown to be an intergenerational class where all are welcome.  With the advent of our new name, we established our mission statement which rea

ds in part “The purpose of the Pacesetters Sunday School Class is to nurture spiritual growth toward Christian perfection.  We will achieve our purpose by the following means: Bible Study, Christian fellowship, church and community involvement, sharing feeling….”

We extend our concern outside our church boundary and sponsor a benevolent fund through the church budget that can be used to address needs that the class approves.  We have recently undertaken a major project of establishing a Prayer Garden for our church, shown in the accompanying photo.  This was done in loving memory of our teacher Pat Woltz after her untimely death.  Our class recognizes the great heritage of past teachers and strives to carry the torch of Christian Love forward. Currently we are involved in an Old Testament Bible Study.  We have an extremely capable and committed pool of class members who teach on a rotating basis.  We occasionally have guest teachers to speak on timely topics.  We emphasize Christian care and concern for each other and others on our prayer list.

Seekers

The Seekers class is a multi-generational class, anyone over the age of 18 is welcome!

Each Sunday features a new topic connecting faith with the issues and current events that families, singles, and societies deal with on a daily basis. Our class style is very informal, with an open discussion about the topics and related scripture. The current event and related Bible scripture is emailed weekly to our class members. We invite everyone over the age of 18 to come and be a part of our relevant, timely, and faith-based discussions. We think you will find a fresh approach to the many issues Christians face today.  Join Us!
